Default Anyone konw the max temp legally allowed to work in??

32 degrees outside, me being a tub of lard (wearing the company balck uniform) was sweating buckets

Inside the van, 44degrees

Been out in this heat since 9am this morning, just got in (4pm) and i dont think i could cope doin this again.

Not to mention im a beretroot colour

So whats the legal temp your allowed to work in outside??? or does it only cover office workers indoors

I think its 30 degrees, new law brought in for this summer.

I've just got back from work, its not the heat that kills me, its the suits that we have to wear to protect us from the resins.

27 degrees where I was today, about 40 inside the suit!

Also the humidity plays a big factor in how hot you feel. It was 65% today inside!

There is no upper limit for Engineering companies, just a lower limit. Dont know about outside working

Have a look here for full details

14C 58F is legal factor now.

If you work outside, companies are now obliged to provide such things as sun lotions etc with regular breaks and adequate fresh water supplies

You guys should try working in a ship engine room like me. 45 degrees is 'average'.... When you're in the Red sea, or worse, the Persian Gulf, it's more like 55................. I have to change my coveralls 4 or 5 times a day due to sweat. Salt replacement tablets, buckets of water.......................... Hell. But, who cares cos they pay me to do it. And the work is a tad physical.....
