Default smoking....

ok my sapph smokes. I am trying to work out the problem. I thought it was the turbo at first, but i'm starting the think it might be something else....

OK, I get a bit of smoke on full boost which is grey / black and not too serious - might just be the chip over fuelling.

Now - on over run, even driving off boost I get blue smoke... and lots of it and the smell of burning oil If i'm stationary and rev hard, it also smokes blue smoke...

Valve stem seals?

Any ideas people?

im starting to get the same symptoms as u !!

Mine only shows blue smoke when im coasting down a hill in gear as such then i go back on throttle u get a puff and sometimes i get a puff pulling away from traffic lights etc etc and my oil consumption is getting more and more

time for the arse end to get rebuilt soon me thinks ,rings, shells ,crank regrind etc etc

no smoke or nastyness when i start up from cold yet ,

and the grey/black is just fuel so thats ok as most cossies all do that

thats the same as mine! I am sick of putting oil in and cleaning soot off the back of the car! My once shiny tail pipe is black after even a short drive....

Mines been rebuilt 15k ago though...

They only did the bottom end, pistons etc. Used the same head. The previous owner managed to pop the engine and A1 Rallysports rebuilt it, but the head was fine at the time so they didn't replace that - to keep £££ down I guess
