i know this has been asked before but i cant find the thread... Have got a three door which has been lowered quite a bit by the previous owner. I have bought a second hand set of 8x18" wheels, they go on the back perfectly but the fronts touch the strut on the inside of the tyre.

Currently the tyres are 225/40/18 which need replacing anyway so was gonna go for 215/35/18 but do i need to do anything else as i think they will still hit?

I have read about the offsets on 2wd saph should be et35 for 18s? But i dont the know the offset is there any way of measuring??

they willl hit the strut if the offset is wrong, but 215/35's will miss the stuts if the offset is correct.

im running 18x8.75" all round.

My 18in x 7.5in rub on the arches, thats with 215 35 18 tyres.

Has anyone got a pic of there modded front arches?

 

Where have you read this, as I am trying to find out what would be the best offset and tyres with 8x18" alloys for my 2wd Sapphire Cos......
