is it possible to adjust a tailgate on a series2 rs turbo (mk4 escort) coz mine doesnt sit down against the boot seal on one side enough to form a good enough seal. yes i know the cars probably had a whack some time in its life lol

 

The catch can be moved, and if u peel away the headlining, so can the the top mounting points.

 

ah no, ive just spent ages lately glueing the headling back up lol. cheers tho mate

 

if you adjusted the top mounts it would mess up the alignment with the roof anyway and it would be a nightmare to re-align it

you could try adjusting the striker plate on the rear panel, maybe move it down more so the tailgate sits lower, or put it on a slight angle so one side sits lower than the other
