Default Which one was it?

Now, im not on for racing (there you go, theres the 'done thing' comment over and done with)

anyway, i was giving it everything on a dual carriage way and a modded mk2 golf was behind and ever so slightly falling back, i mean ever so slightly. which would it have been, 8v or 16v. really just wondering as i thought the valver would have over taken me or stayed with me but a 8v would be blown away ( my parents have one and its standard and slower by quite a bit).

as i sad it was modded but i didnt think breating mods etc would do much difference to a 8v. just wondering which one it would be. my rst is standard bar a mongoose.

why am i asking??? well, my next car was going to be a oak green 16v mk2 but i certainly wouldnt want a drop in performance.

My moneys on it being a lightly modded 8v. You would have been looking at my bumper if it would have been my mk1 golf 8v

Ive owned a 185bhp mk2 golf and imo you cant even compare to an rst they just pull so strongly all the way to the redline. I would do anything to get my old valver back

btw dont get an oak green faaaaaaaaar to common! this is what you want!

seriously? is a valver that much quicker? 139bhp v 132bhp, didnt think it would be hugely different.

my gut feeling was a fairly modded 8v, but my head wished it wasnt lol

that car is very nice, wouldnt want a euro looking one though. i like the light metallic blue standard ones.

btw of course you cant compare a 185bhp golf to a 132bhp escort

Can't beat a Mk1 or 2 Golf. Th erest are wank up until the new one which is stonking. VW finally gave something back the deserves the GTi badge.

My mate had an 8v GTi and that was only just slower than my S2 when I first got it. 16v would have left me behind for sure

Could have a 20v turbo lump in it but if your yurbos over 180 brake cant see the golf keeping up.

My RST pissed over my old corrado VR6, the VR6 had a scotts mototune 3.2 conversion with 260bhp. RS was pumping out 240bhp @ 25psi, and we left it!
