RST gearbox/linkage question
Hiya all.
How does the gear linkage come off the gearbox on an RST? I see the 13mm nuts and have undone them, but it doesn't seem to come off the box itself. I've also unclipped the cable.
Also, are the boxes the same on any other CVH Escort of the same age?

You loosen the 13mm nut on the clamp and just pull the linkage off.
The gearboxes are very similar, differences are the LSD equipped differential, crownwheel teeth size and the gear ratios.

Once its slack u will need to push the selector shaft in to have the clearance, but it just slides off as said 
Linkages AREN'T the same, a few different ones. (4 speed, 5 speed, MK3, MK4)
