I use XP but trying to find a way to do an equivalent to System Restore on a machine with windows 98??

Is there anyway to do it as I can't find it in the Help topics?

Nope.

System restore didn't come out until Windows ME I'm afriad. Overlay or Win 98, or a complete format and reinstall are the only 2 options available I'm afraid.

Nooooooo... it's on there.

I can't remember exactly how to do it - it's been a while.

It's in the Bios I think - press f1 as it's booting??

I used to do it all the time when I had '98.

There's a few other commands you can run too. All that will do, is load the registry from one of the previous dates. If it's a basic registry corruption then you might be ok.
