zetec turbo oil filter in series 2 help.....................

Default zetec turbo oil filter in series 2 help.....................

awrite folks.just went to put oil filter on the zetec turbo in ma s2 and it wont fit.its hitting against the body at the drivers side.filter would need to be half the size to fit.what will a do or what do people with same engines do.cheers

Have you put the S2 water cooling jacket on the zetec block ?

why would that affect the oil filter hitting the body mate?

dont think that would make any difference david the oil filter fits on the end of the oil pumo on a zetec bottom end.

stevenebm ive heard of peope using a renault clio 16v or r5 gt turbo oil filter, theyre a lot smaller than the zetec units.

The water cooler will make the filter sit further out and could cause the filter to foul.

I had my 1.8zvh in the black car using a standard zetec filter with no problems.

Think you must have a mondeo oilpump and need to swap it to an escort/fiesta pump.

Renault 5/Clio ones are half the size and apparently fit making them perfect for the Zetec Turbos so ive heard.

i used a escort zetec pump and normal zetec filter and had no probs at all

aparently cvh filters also fit on zetecs and are proper small compered got one here but cba to fit it as my zetec one fits in my fez
