hi all just wondrered if any one else has done a crb check the full enhanced one, only iv been waitin 6 weeks now and cant start work till i get it the only good thing is im gettin paid till it comes thru
i will be working with vunrable children from 7 to 17

Yes i deal with enhanced CRBs all thetime as im a hospital manager.
If you moved around a lot in can take time but even the no longer than 12 weeks, at moment there coming back in around 3 - 4 weeks.

You can get the company to phone crb to find out what stage there at, ifthey have completed the internal checks and now its going to external.

Can take upto 12 weeks at most

Chase up and resubmit if not

 

ive worked with children in a home for the past 7 years my first crb took around 4 months moved alot

the one i just had done took 6 months so i was with out one from october till april but luckily still could work

if your getting paid i wouldnt worry about it

I was disapointed lol

 

my first one 2 years ago took 6 months and came back with nearly 50 convictions for drugs, shoplifting and offensive weapon convictions!!

safe to say none of them were mine but it took another 4 months to clear my name so to speak!!

had to go to the local nick and have my photo and fingerprints taken to clear my name, felt like a real criminal

 

i phoned them and thay said ther waitin for the police to get ther bit done, iv lived in sheffield for most of my life and lived in cumbria for about 15 years, also lived in cornwall for 6months.. iv no convictions for anything so i no im ok, just sick of waitin, my employer contracted me since the 1st of may on full pay and the crb got the application on the 4th april.. im working with e.b.d kids ..thats extreme behavaril difficulties i will be going to school with them and getting them up and even sleepin ther twice a week the school own part of lake windermere and have a camp set up ther so should be good fun, i no its going to be very hard work but i realy wont to do it and help these kids the school also liked the fact that im good with I.T and dabble in mending cars and bikes as the school has a place for the kids to learn about cars and bikes, all the kids have lcd tv and playstations in ther rooms and sky..

p.s ..forgot to say that at the interview i was told that this job has a burn out of just 5 years , in other words after 5 years your heads done in ..thats if you let it..thay said when you go home you have to forget about it..

Bloody hell I sent mine away last week and i'm supposed to be starting my Job June 2nd, the only good point is I suppose, is that I have lived in the local area all my life.

Still gonna be push n go tho for June init?

 

I've had 2 done, one with the pova too.

I had to wait only about 2 weeks both times

I've lived in the same area the all my life... but moved about 10 times in one year

 

Took about 4 months for my Enhanced one to come through, slow as!

I have had a few Basic Disclosures now through Disclosure Scotland, done them online, came back in about 10 days!

 

no been signed off since then, got stay off till july thou

 

thats about right but they prob ring you all the time to cover shifts
