the graphics are like nothing ive ever seen, looks like the sort of stuff you get in the FMV scenes in final fantasy!

only been playing it for about an hour, but the atmosphere and tension coupled with the amaxing graphics really do make you want to keep on playing.

one minor problem... its TOO advanced imho...

i have to play in 640x480 LOW DETAIL mode to make it acceptable... and my PC is hardly shit (2ghz AMD, 512mb, Geforce FX5200)

i dont think even rudey will be able to play it in 1024x768

 

heard its awesome might have to get it

However after reading the fact that your pretty reasonable PC wont even run it in 800x600 then my 1Ghz P3 hasnt got a hope in hell!
Might blag work (my mum ) to buy me a few new things for my pc

it runs ok 1024x768 with max settings and 2x anti aliasing

ive got to get a x800 for halflife 2

 

AA kills framrate - i never use it

 

got thisother day played it in 1024 no problems looks fantastic plays well very dark can't see too much which adds to the effect hope online play is good !

i got the 3x CD one... n i got it off a FTP site... i was maxed out at 70kb/sec n me mate said he was getting 300+kb/sec

its handy having mates who do a lot of FXPing n tell u all the links to their servers

look for bots with high bandwith (kbps) ratings 8000 ish is allways a good one

if u click the links in the packetnews search (usually numbers ie "#3")

it will open irc

then in the chat window right click and paste or (ctrl + V keys)

it will then auto download
