rs turbo and xr2 engine
no xr2 engine is going to be the same as any turbocharged engine. for a start the pistons are different. and if you mean like a mk2 xr2 cvh then there is also no hole for the crankshaft sensor pick up for the flywheel. a xr2i engine block will be similar but the internals are all slightly off and wont suit turbocharging period. probably fine if you just want the block though ( a xr2i i mean) but dont hold me to that
thats what i want to know, is the xr2 and 2i cvh the same? and the same as any rs turbo engine? i want an engine to build over the summer and i wondered if i could use any cvh 1.6 engine as a base?
XR2 block = ERST S1 and S2 block except from pistons and oil feed for the Turbo
XR2 head = ERST S1 and S2 except from height, outlet valves and inlet/outlet ports
XR2i block = FRST block with CPS hole except from pistons and oil feed
XR2i head = FRST head, just check for same height
