This look very good value, how do it compair to expensive engine management like omex?

You thoroughly get what you pay for with management and skimping on it is along the same lines as skimping with engine internals IMO. Most people wouldn't do it.

Forgive me i not know much on this that why i ask what difference is, look like has same features. Omex is expensive compair to this, but i would pay more for better system if my car worth more than Ł500.
It's not just about the mapping software. For a race car, it is acceptable to just have a very simple map that makes the best use of full-power, but for the road, there is a whole lot more that we have come to take for granted, even in our 15+ year-old Fords. Alot of these basic systems were created for race use.
These 'luxuries' include Idle control, cold start, warm up etc. These are all things that make the more expensive management systems worth their money IMO.
Even Omex 500 series is very primative by today's standards, I wouldn't have it on my car now. Regardless of power, I still expect to have reasonable drivability and fuel economy.

i fount this the other day seems to have good results and cheap
but as christian says you really need to find out how it behaves on normal drive and around town than just on power

I think you not understand that for people like me who are not specialist or experienced but want good system we have to trust professional advice. I do not know how any ecu behave so i ask.
If you sold all model of ecu and chip how could you know which is best for me? I am building 1.6 zetec 150-170 na track car what ecu should i use?

That mtech site is a joke quite frankly, it reads about as accurately as an ebay advert for a "resisitor mod" etc

Ive mapped DTA and Emerald both in the last few weeks using just a basic laptop!
and as for their comment on how to tune it:
They make it sounds like 14.7:1 is perfect in all circumstances!
Sorry if its anyone off here, but going from that site, they dont really know what they are doing, fingers crossed though that its just the site thats rubbish and not the actually company as im quite a far of the MS concept as a whole.

Simon the one that says 'Megasquirt' on the board will be Megasquirt, I imagine!!! But I get your point.
There are lots of scenario's out there with stuff being rebranded.
Take AVO's non-adjustable range of dampers, which are infact KYB's.

I think Megasquirt is very underated. When you go through the list of features a lot of people are suprised.
Yes it does have idle control, Afterstart enrichment, cranking adjustment etc. Not only that, but the software is fully customisable including features such as Auto Tune your fuel map as you drive.
As for the MTech - Looks like they are rebadging the Megasquirt. Its exactly the same ECUs.
