£500 reward for tracing stolen parts
just had this on rs-mania any help please get in touch so i can pass info on
I am offering £500 reward for information leading to the arrest of thieves involved in stealing approx £5000 worth of cossie spares I had in a lock up garage. I have been a cosworth owner for 10 years, currently have 2x 3 doors and a sapphire, parts I had accumulated over the 10 years were stored in a lock up garage in North London near my home, at some point last week, not sure exactly when as I don't check it every day, my lock up was broken into and completely cleaned out and I mean every last nut and bolt. They must have loaded the lot into at least the size of a Transit van.
Parts taken include virtually everything needed to convert a standard 3 door shell into a cosworth replica, two mint doors in moonstone, moonstone whale tail and boot, bodykit also moonstone, bonnet in moonstone with a couple of chips, complete engine needing a new head gasket (sadly didn't record the engine number), T5 gearbox apparently with worn syncro on 3rd, complete interior, dash with 3 quite large cracks, Garrett T3 with slight play in shaft, virtually mint 3 door wheels with good tyres, can't remember make of tyres.
Sapphire bits, propshaft, differential, bootlid in mercury grey and rear spoiler plus various other engine parts.
I know it is a long shot but if anyone is offered a job lot or even individual parts from someone they dont know to be a regular on the Cosworth scene or they have reason to be suspicious of please pm me and I will look into. If the lead is positive I guarantee to honour the reward.
The police can do nothing, no evidence left at the scene and no witnesses, the garages aren't overlooked. As the garage was not attached to my house my insurance does not cover it so I have effectively lost the lot, I know shit happens but I live in the hope that the thieves will not realise how close a community the Cossie club is.
