Default Sapphire Cosworth boot vent thingys?

In the boot of a Saff there are 2 vents one either side which i'm guessing would have once upon a time had some sort of filter in?
Mine are just 2 black plastic grills and as per usual exhaust fumes are entering there.
Are the filters or whatever was there still available or can anyone suggest a simple way of sealing these up as i do not wish to remove the rear bumper to remove the plastic grills.
Cheers Spadge...

AFAIK they only had a rubber flap over the outside, which lets airflow out but not back in...

Correct

The flap is fixed at the top only.

Maybe glue a bit of rubber over them?

Neil.

PS I thought you could just pop them out without removing the bumper?

like any car, they form part of the pressurised cabin ventilation system

without them in place, the cabin will not be pressurised by the blower, so as you are discovering it leads to exhaust fumes coming in.

As above Spadge they should have rubber flaps on them.

bought some last year and i think they were around Ł5 each.

had to pull the bumper off to fit them though. Could get the O/S one done but needed to either take the exhaust or bumper off to get the N/S done and the bumper was eaisiest
