brilliant dogs!, easy to look after and train, very loyal, heres my 2 buster and sasha, try the staffordshire bull terrier rescue if thinking of getting one thats where i got sasha

They are brilliant dog's mate, they have a very good temperament - contrary to what most people think. They are also very good around kid's, and will actually take a protective role towards them.
In general, they are fairly easy to look after, pick a good meal ( mix it up for them now and again ) for them, always have fresh water and walk them regularly. Other than that, there's nothing to worry about really.

Trist, they are one of the best breeds going. My one ,Charlie is nearing 9 years now and the only regret ive ever had is that idid,nt get two together. For a dog with there reputation they have got to be the biggest babies of them all,and as stated on here they love human company.Try to see both parents ,if you do decide to get one,the place i got mine from insisted on visiting my house before he would sell.pity more dont do this,as it would save the dog a shit life in the hands of dickheads, and would go a long way to disspelling all the myths about them.Mine even barks to let me know when the cat wants to come in.
They are great dogs you should definitely get one. you would only regret it if you didn't.
If you've got kids then you shouldn't worry about them being around him/her either.

Good luck

The breeds reputation with children is second to none. Adored and adoring within its own family circle.

Id never put my dog down if that happened! If it was out of control and went on a rampage then yes, of course. But for someone to stick there face in an unknown dog's, what do they expect...?
Could have been a Yorkshire terrier or a Rottie, common sence applies!

Ha! I was waiting for someone to jump on that.
1st off, id never let a small child come up to my dog unless i was in a positon to restrain or stop it attacking.
2nd, If a parent let's a small child run up to and stick it's face in the face of not only a bull terrier but ANY dog then IMO it's a distinct lack of upbringing. Would you not teach you child to look before crossing...?
3rd, The story is the girl went to 'kiss' the dog's nose. Not just 'came up to the dog' like your now saying. Big differences!
Has a Bull terrier attacked a child of yours or something?
It would seem by your questions and your reply's your looking for a bit of an argument/reaction here?
