Quick question, I hope it's not too dumb....

I have an alloy expansion tank that is weaping from the top weld.
I assume it can be repaired by a local ally welder.
In the mean time will a standard CVH plastic tank from a braker do as a temporary measure or is there something specific about the RS item (like the pressure the cap is tested too)?

yeah take it alloy fabricators they sort it out pretty cheap would have thought they may ask you steam it out first though

yeah i took some alloy bits be welded the guy says steam them out first maybe it was just him that wants stuff steamed then he cant say was dirty inside else may effect the weld any valeting bay wil able clean it i just got powerfull jetwash inside couple of times shouldnt be expensive tho to fix it
