Default MK6 Cabriolet + RS/GTi sideskirts = no good?

Wanted to buy the "RS/Gti Body Styling for Escort Mk5/Mk6 (1990-00)" (wich is sideskirts and rear addons) for a MK6 cabriolet wich Im going to buy soon.

The RS/GTi kit: http://www.espdesign.co.uk/esp.store.../Product/35007

In the info-text however, it says that the RS/GTi kit DOESNT fit the cabriolet :S But that doesnt seem right, since Ive seen alot of cabrios with this kit:
http://fordescort.britec-online.de/s...p?show_id=1734
http://fordescort.britec-online.de/s...p?show_id=1320

I thought that if it fits the 3-door Mk6 it should also fit cabrio? (same measures?). Maybe the kit doesnt fit the MK4/5 cabrio, and they have made a mistake to assume it doesnt fit the MK6 cabrio either?

What do you think?

It'll fit, don't know why they had that on there Obviously the floorpans and strengthening underneath the cabs are quite different from a roofed escort, but that won't effect where you have to rivet the kit [or screw it]

If you're buying it off ESP, may be worth telling them when you ring in your order

By the way, see how much Ford do the kit for as I'll be VERY surprised if it's alot more expensive than the ESP stuff AND of course you'll have the manufacturers originals

Paddy, do you have the RS/GTi sideskirts on a cab aswell, or know anyone that does?

they do fit the cab but!! if you look at the two cars together youll see that the cab ones dont go under the car as far as the saloon ones do, also at the front of the skirt you can clearly see the jacking point cover where as on the saloon its tucked under the car a lil more....oh and its a lil difficult to secure the underside of the skirt to the bottom of the sill.

What kind of rims you use?

Some german guy said the cab RS-sideskirts were a bit shorter than for the roof-cars

Ive tryed to get some info out of ESP design, but they just dont answer the damn mail auch..
