it wont run anymore than 10psi i think on standard chip...

so 10 is highest u can run...

but if u do this make sure u get the car set up well so it dont go bang!

Yup ecu will cut fuel at 10psi unchipped and it will 'overboost'.

Definitely get it to a good tuners before touching boost

Will feel marginally quicker but at 7psi held you won't notice much difference tbh

wot u will probably find is that it will pull constant where the boost is holing still rather than droppin and liftin then droppin as a fucked actuator can do...

will also b faster if u run more boost... ie 10psi...

but id still get the set up checked out on CO machine and timing etc after u chnge it.

MFi cars set up change alot matey... i used to take mine to Jano every couple of weeks to chuck it on CO... quite often settin had changed...

cant be helped really....

ud prbably wanna run round 3- 3.5 on the CO... also get better intercooler...

welll worth doin!

cheers pal so if its turned up to 10 psi is that safe i dont put my foot down in my car really its just nice to have abit of power under your feet when u need it pal ,when i took it msd it was running 70 bhp it was shit slow and used loads of fuel he told me i needed to change actuator cos it wasnt holding boost and when actuator is changed i should get about 150 bhp 160 maybe what u think

i cudnt judge wot power ud make mate but that sortof power is easily achieved with a rst...

i cant give ya a garuntee mate but im runnin 18psi on standard bottom end with no prbs for ages now and it takes alot of stick(but i have efi so not really fair comparison)

but my point bein bottom end shud b able to handle it aslong as in gd nick... and ecu shud handle 10psi so i cant see a reason y it shudnt b ok!

I have a 90´spec, and i can´t run at more than 6.5 psi continuously, if I go for more boost, the pressure lowers single in a pair of seconds...

And it cuts injection to 18.8PSI.

It works with the standard ECU... How I can obtain more continuous pressure? Chipped ECU?

Thnx!!!

Yeah, i can´t run at more than 6.5psi.

If i turn up the boost, the car reaches without problems about 14-15psi, but only for a seconds, cause the boost go down again to 6.5

Oh, and my ECU isn´t chipped!! Is standard!!

then id refer to 'boost droppin' thread in here matey!

as for standard ecu if it is standard at bout 11 or 12 psi it will make a loud bck fire as ecu shuts car off temporarily at that boost on standard chip..

well if its unchipped then it won't hold more than 6-7psi anyway so no real suprise there.

Its peaking pretty high though at 14-15 does it misfire or pop & bang when it does this? the ECU should of cut boost by then.

overboost protection should cut in at 10.5 psi on a standard ecu

No dude, dont misfire or pop, just push a lot... but only for a seconds, cause the preassure goes down slowly, but goes down

was it running 10 psi before you changed the actuator? if not you better get the fuelling checked

because you can't increase the boost without checking the fuelling, it may run lean and melt your engine!!! standard they are 7 psi so increasing the boost to 10 psi may mean you need extra fuel!!

or you could just leave it and wait for it to go bang

All these people playing around playing with their own boost levels only means one thing/lots of engines going POP very soon.

So does it hold 10psi now or peak at 10 and hold 7-8?

if its holding 10psi then i'd get fuelling checked as addiction says to be on safe side
