Hi lads,was just reading on the Driftworks website that some of the D1 teams had tools robbed from their pit garages at the show in Donnington last weekend .Also a 15 yr old girl got gang raped in the campsite on the Saturday night. Although, and I DO NOT CONDONE IT, but the last time I went to the Propper Donny, there was young lasses all over not giving a shit who they went with or who's tent they slept (or anything else) in. It's only a matter of time before somthing like that is gonna happen, with loads of young lads of there face, and young lasses fluanting it for all they are worth!

Anyone remember the last Campsite they had at a fordfair? It ended up with the riot squad there, brand new car being burnt out. I'd been the previous year and that was mental, so went too a normal campsite

That is the same story i heard at USC a couple of years back, but same as this time, no Police or reports in the local media.

I heard it all happened due to Chip wiping out the whole of Germany's Power Ranger lookalikes on their mopeds thus causing a great deficite to the Gambia's currency

That was the same 2 years ago, we never saw any police etc.

The next morning i was told about it and i tackled a offical about only to be told, how do you know what happened and sorry i cant say anything on the matter, i said well you better had as i'm on the campsite again tonight and want to know my personal saftey is ok, and at that i was told that a girl had been gang raped.

I am not surprised to be honest..... its shocking news and no, it shouldn't happen at a car show.

I went to the show in 2003 when it was in Donny, I was pregnant at the time and we had decided to take the club there for the weekend.

I ended up parking my car at the end of my tent where my head was.... so many little dickheads doing donuts near the tents! It was shocking! Needless to say I have now developed a real dislike for a Corsa owner who lives not too far from me as he was one of the ones involved.

Oh and Keith nearly laid out a Punto owner who decided to wheelspin his car and totally spray our tent with mud! Said owner was duly chased across the sodden field, and told to come back and clean up his mess...... which judging by Keith's tone at the time, he didn't have any choice and he did come back and clean it.

I vowed after that year never to go to Donny Show ever again whereever it was held.... the show is a total abomination to car owners, its full of chavs now and boy racers who think bling is the ultimate car accessory...... its gone proper downhill since the days of Doncaster Custom Car Show which it started life as.....

Think Ripspeed ought to totally rethink how they portray next year's show..... and knocking the camping on site on the head would be a great start to prevent incidents like this happening again......

Why was a 15 yo there in the first place, we have all seen the adverts with the evening 'entertainment' of hardcore noise/music, strippers cheap booze etc, who and where were the responsible adults accompanying her? If its her boyfriend what sort of twisted f**k meses about with a wee lassie anyways??

Surely there must be a policy in place preventing the sales to specific tickets to minors and the security should be checking this on entry. For the show to be run and sponsered by a company with the size and money such as Ripspeed/Halfords then it is truely shameful that there wasn't greater investment in security on site and in the camping area.

Although this incident may still have occured, its is posible that the general safety in the camping area would be improved if there were visable patrols of not just on site security but police also, preventing the dnagerous driving and drug/drink fuelled incidents from escalating.

This is a shameful incident and IMO circuits across the country should take action to ban these events ocuring unless its proven that safety will be paramount. Of course tho this will never happen aas its all about money at the end of the day

 

It happened on the campsite out the back near to where we were camped, we all got up sunday morning and there was quite alot of police on the site with 2 tents and a car taped off with police tape.

 

The rape thing sounds a bit suss especially as her boyfreind was involved. She might of woke up realising what she had done and rape

On the other hand if its genuine claim then the sick feckers deserve to die.

 

IMO there was very little security at this event, saw none what so ever during the day for the volume of people there...anyone know what it was like on the night?
