Default oh dear i seem to have split my oil return feed

coming back from a test run today earlier i smelt some oil and the car wasnt ticking over, pulled over and opened the bonnet to find oil which looked like it was coming out of the oil filter, but as the oil light wasnt on decided to drive it home slowly, got home and discovered that the oil return feed from the turbo was split badly and checked the dipstick to reveal NO oil on the dipstick oil light didnt come on at all until i switched it off, oil light goes straight off when i started it before i found it had no oil, will i have damaged anything?

unfortunatly the oil light will only come on with zero oil pressure, you may be lucky and not done any damage, sort out the return and fill it with oil and start it up.

it will be quite eveident if something is fucked.

theres no abnormal noise, while i was looking for where the oil was coming from i had the engine running after i turned up the idle screw and it seemed normal apart from it was hunting up and down the revs slightly

Do yourself a favour and use a bit of Dash 12 Aeroquip pipe , you'll never worry about this again .
