Sierra RS Cosworth alloy front pulley Item number: 4630830803 could this be used on a cosworth was told off some one off here that you cant use it beacuse it has alloy pick up lugs could some one confirm this is true

if its all alloy you could replace the lugs with steel ones... it would be ok then. big f@@k up by whoever made it though!

at a guess, i'd say it wouldn't work aswell because of the crank sensor being magnetised to pick up the normal pulley lug (if you get what i mean, i know but can't explain it too well )

right i see but in the description he says it was running on a car i understand about how the pick up works i was told you do one is correct if yes how much is one thanks

They usually fit grub screws in the lugs so the sensor can pick it up

As said above, it WON'T work unles there is ferrous (ie magnetic) material in the lugs. Ideally the ferrous targets need to be at least the same face area as the polepiece in the middle of the sensor to get a decent signal.

so if i fitted lets say steel screw in the place of the lugs will it work then
