Just don't tell Roy Shaw Lenny was better though

http://www.royprettyboyshaw.com/index2.html

Is it true Ginseng and Vitamin E weakened Roy for the second and third fights with Lenny McClean?

Well, in the first fight Lenny was beaten very easily in the third round in a bout scheduled for 10 (see news articles page for review). The ref stopped the bout "to save McClean from serious injury" Lenny hit Roy with his best shots, but nothing happened, McClean was on the back foot all the way until saved by the ref!

So it's obvious if you beat somebody that easily, that two more fights with the same man (who had also been beaten by Kevin Paddock) in those last two fights, something was wrong!

Roy hardly moved in two and three, he just stood there being hit by a man not known as a big puncher (it still took twenty head shots)

Roy overcame a thirteen year age gap, six stone of weight and six inch height difference to demolish Lenny in fight one.
So what happened in fights two and three?

Only an idiot would say it was natural progression. Roy Shaw swore on his children's lives that the ginseng and vitamin E made him feel stoned and out of it. That, combined with the drug cocktails pumped into him at Broadmoor, who knows what reaction may have occurred.

Also, if you are going to lie, you surely would make excuses such as injury or illness, why choose an excuse which is hard to believe? but nobody can dismiss Roys reasons out of hand.

Lenny used to live a stones throw from Roman Road when I was at school.
His son Jamie went to the same school as me.
You would always see Lenny about and he was a massive bloke but a really nice guy as long as you was on the right side of him
When I first started to drive I was in an insurance shop in Roman Road when Lenny came in.
It was only a small shop and believe me he filled it up.
He had a little club just round the corner called "Guvnors"
Think he had a Mini in those days too.
Still see his daughter Kelly all the time.
Sadly he is no longer with us.
He is one bloke that I will never forget.

From what I've read and seen, I believe McLean wasn't anywhere near as great as he makes out. He knew how to court publicity, but there were and are people of his era that were a lot more dangerous than him...

Dont know whether it's true but my grandad said he was doing a bit of work on one of the community halls down east london back in the day and was getting a bit of trouble off the traffic wardens as he was tryign to unloaded tools and material etc. He mentioned this to one of the guys down there and apparently Mr Mclean came in some time later and said you wont have any more trouble parking outside mate.... problem sorted

If you look into it again the Krays were always a bit glorifed, Indeed the Richardsons were apparently a LOT more feered in their time, they really were ruthless,.
