Default help with my cooling and ecu trouble

Right since i have had my rad re cored i notice that the fan cuts in more than 3/4 of the way up but with the old rad it was just about half way. It does not over heat but just sits alot hotter than what it did with my old rad it is constantly 3/4's or the way up where before it always sat half way! I am going to change the thermostate to mos to see any diff i thought it might be an air lock but it aint, i have got 70/30 anti - freeze any ideas ?

Another thing i have put my ecu in the glove box as before it was just sliding on floor of car lol but it gets so hot in there i was thinking of blocking the heat of one side and put a pc fan in the glove box as its getting way to hot and to keep it cool . If the ecu gets to hot it will melt the board inside ecu is there any cooling wrap i can put the ecu ? Plus other thing the chip at the bottom of the ecu is just open is there any covers for the ofab chip? i have tried antistatic covers which work for the chip but inside the glove box it gets to hot. any ideas would be great

if u haven't changed anything but temp is different, then it 1 of 2 things

the new core is as good as the old one

or

you have a airlock in rad,

get the car hot and feel the rad for cold patches, watch ya dont burn ya self though

Alex how is your rad/cooler/fans mounted???? i've had a look at sids and he is still using the grs rad but they have taped the sides up so air goes through them all instead of escaping around and mounted the rad/cooler back to back with a cossy fan. Have you got a proper water temp gauge cause your standard gauge could be faulty??? just a thought
