The sapphire dash is the same apart from centre vent and it is about 1/2 to small where it meets the A pillar covers. You can get round this by using sapphire A pillar trims but 1 of the holes needs redrilling as it dont line up with 3dr holes.HTH
there are lots of little mods you ned to do when going from one to the other
it's an almost direct fit but the centre bolts for the lower dash into the transmission tunnel are futher away, and, as you have found out, the column tends to foul
what you CAN do is put the whole adjustable column from the 4be into the 3 door and everything else will fit up propelry too
you will also need to get all the little brackets from one to swap over to the other, like the door ajar and the aws ecu's as well as the main abs and engine ecu's as they mount in different places
a bit of "ingenuity" might be needed as you have to use other holes in the bulkhead as well as stretching the loom across for others
done it 3 times now and each time the bulkhead has different bits in it
on the haynes spanner scale it's a 1 spanner job, you can do it in a day (it's about 3 hours tops really if you know what you are doing)
