Default Who stole my engine? ;-)

Who stole my engine? lol

Just as well I've got a nice fast road one to go back in and it just so happens that it has new cometic gaskets and oil seals fitted as well - they were shot on the old one

And this is what it's going in.

Spec.

Cylinder Head (from Specialised Engines): Completely reconditioned with new HD valve springs, stem seals, valves, bronze valve guides, all valve seats re-cut (unleaded), inlet and outlet ports flowed and port macthed to inlet manifold. Piper OHC134 high torque cam with vernier pulley).

Cylinder Block : Rebored to 2.1 and cross hatch honed. All new core plugs fitted. Each bore cross hatch honed to exact size of each individual piston. New set of Accuralite forged pistons. Mains checked for alignment and ovality. Surface ground where necessary. Decked pistons and block.

Crankshaft : Reground and polished. All new mains and big end bearings.

Con Rods : Checked for alignment and ovality in big end housing.

Crankshaft : Reground to bottom limits available, with matched set of mains and big end shells.

Con Rods : Crack tested and checked for alignment. Checked for ovality in big end housing. Honed to size of each individual piston pin. Full engine balance, crankshaft, flywheel, clutch plate etc. High capacity/high pressure oil pump.

I've also added a Motorsport Developments Evo chip, K+N 57i, Janspeed 4-2-1 manifold, FSE fuel pressure regulator, full set of Samco/SfS hoses, braided fuel lines and bits of alloy everywhere .

Power was tested at 143bhp on Well Lanes rollers. I want to try again as the spark plugs were knackered (found out on the rolling road - misfire at the top end) and I'd like to put some larger valves in - I think the rest of the spec should make the most of larger valves.
