Just been for my MOT and the car failed

They failed it on the hazard lights because the green indicator light on the dash doesn't flash when you turn them on but every thing else does.

Iv had the unit apart and cleaned all the connector but still cant seem to get it to work

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated

yes the green light comes on when you indicate.

i have now been informed by some other fiesta driver that the light doesn't come on when the hazzards are on so i will be taking my car back and get my MOT

 

generally either the actual switch flashes or the indicator panel in the binacal.

So long as there's some kind of flashing indication inside the car that your hazards are on it should pass.

 

Just nipped out to the garage and mine is the same, it only flashed the button not the green indicator display

 

So, does the light in the hazard light switch work then?

 

yeah mines the same the lights in the binacal do not flash but the red switch does so this guy is pulling your pisser fella go get him sorted out

Yea the red button flashes but nothing else

Only thing that has got me angry is the fact that i cant use the car till at least Tuesday and i even went to a scrappy for a new module to find out that there’s nothing wrong with mine

 

He should re-test it for free then if that's all it failed on as it was a wrongful fail!!!
