If your car is the xr4x4 DOHC then the 4x4 cosworth diff will go straight in but it is a 3.6 ratio where as yours is a 3.9 at the moment and will make your car slower on acceleration but maybe a little more economical
on the motorway.

I've always liked the look of the 3 door Mk 2 Sierra, shame we never saw it in the UK.

Sorry fella
I do not have experiance of your exact model so I don't know.
Maybe have a measure up as it will match one of them.
Also not sure what you want to achieve by changing it (unles its broke or you want LSD or different ratio)

4x4 cosworth diff will fit straight in and you can use the same propshaft and driveshafts if yours is a model with disc brakes on the rear.

4x2 cosworth diff will not fit as it is wider where it mounts into the beam (7.5 inches compared to 7).

hope that helps, and nice car. i would consider importing one some day and converting it to 24v cosworth engine.

all diffs are basically the same length and use the same propshaft.

the differences are in the width, but there are only 2 different widths. 7 inches from normal sierra's including all 4x4, and 7.5 inches from granada's and scorpios that were also used for cosworth 2WD only.

in the 7" width's, there are differences in the output flanges. some have bolt on driveshafts (all those models with disc brakes), and some don't.

if you can take a picture of your differential and show the driveshafts, i can comment further

if you've got drums on the back you won't be able to bolt the diff straight in

you can't use the 2wd diff as it's physically too big to match up with what youv'e got on your car

there is a way to get the drum rear shafts to work with the diff but seeing as you need the outputs from the lsd car which are longer on one side it's a lot of fiddling about

find a guy called ratty who posts here, he'll give you the full rundown
