Default Phase sensor failure symptoms

As above what are the symptoms of phase sensor failure. I have an intermittent missfire or stutter on boost, rev counter bounces up and down when throttle is applied and works fine on over run ie not throttle.

Cheers Chaps

I was told missfire after peak torque ie 4k plus is a symptom of phase or cps sensor breaking down.

I changed both and it solved it if thats and help

my car just stopped on the side of the M25. that was due to a severely mullered phase sensor. would turn over and the rev counter would flutter, but it would never fire.

what ecu?

if S8, it will give you an error.

if L8, there will be no effect as it only needs it on start up.
