My drivers door only opens about an inch then it seems to catch. its as if the wee bit isnt opening fully to release the door. Ive had the door card off and tried pushing the metal bit down to open the catch further but it didnt work!!!!!! I went out to it this morning to take it for its daily run and the door wouldnt even open at all, central locking wasnt working, nothing. so i had to go in the boot to open the passenger door!!!!!!

Any body with any advice much appriciated!!!!!

 

 

sounds like the mechanism is fucked mate, completely!

disconnect all the rods from it and do what ya can to get it open, the spring has prob snapped inside so it will take a bit to get open
