Escort RS Turbo S2 - SOLD
Hi All,
Due to a recent changes in plans I now need to sell my much loved RSTurbo and bought an MX5 with the wife!.
I'm selling at £2000 , I live in Leigh (near Wigan).
I purchased it around March 2005 with hardly any documentation. It was HPI clear (documents to prove) and seemed to be in a decent condition considering it had covered just over 120K miles. Since I purchased it all receipts have been kept for all work carried out. This is everything done to the car since I've had it:
The gearbox was rebuilt by Jay at Ford Sport (warrington).
Category 1 Toad alarm and immobiliser fitted.
RS7 alloys were fitted before Summer last year, (I still have the original alloys also).
The engine was fully rebuilt by Stewart at Motorsport Developments in Blackpool in August 2005. Including a 6 paddle clutch and pro alloy intercooler. This all cost £3500 - the spec is to big to list here, I also have the CD showing pics of the work carried out on the engine.
Stage 2 Turbo technics turbo was fitted.
New starter motor was fitted at X-Mas 2005.
The engine has covered less than 2000 miles since the rebuild, (the first 1000 miles were to break it in). The car was setup by Stu again at 1000 miles when the boost was turned up to 13 psi which it is still running. The engine was built to run at 20psi, though 13 psi seems more than enough for me!
I've also got a new Fordstripes RS turbo sticker for the boot which needs adding.
Please email me at mark.shepherd@blueyonder.co.uk with regards any questions.

I must say that does sound cheap for that spec of car with those wheels on. Although it looks like you do have to sell them cheap to get rid these days, which is a shame really. If I had 2k going spare I'd probably buy it myself.

I'd leave them on if it was me, it makes it more appealing to someone.
But hey what do I know.
Although, saying that, you might have more luck bunging the originals back on, selling the car cheaper, then selling the seven spokes separately, cos they must be worth a few quid, they're always popular.
