I have just put my engine back in me rs cab and i went to turn her over and there was just a click


the solinoid on the starter kinda fell apart a week or so back when i took it out. thats all back in now


So.............


how can i test the started motor to test if it workin properly ?????

 

take it off, and take a direct feed from the battery, ensure its earthed and it will spin if its working correctly. thats how I used to test mine on my ZVH when i was having problems with it

 

stick a jump lead on it and to the positive of the battery, you dont need to take it off to do it as its earthed by the engine anyway (or is if you have the earth strap connected!).

 

Make sure your battery is fully charged Just a click is often an indication that the battery can't give it enough juice, or the wiring's bust and unable to take the current draw

were the solidnoid goes into the starter i did not put the arm into the solinoid arm if u know what i mean,

sounds like you havent hooked the solenoid on to the fulcrum arm so its not pushing the pinion out

 

put your finger in the hole aswell, as you give it as live to check

 

correct !!!!!



she started first time as well . and she has been in the garage for 2 months with no starting, for a rst that good
