Default *Rolling road day with Berkshire Group - Any takers??*

Nath, Eagle, Frog and myself are trying to organise a Berkshire group Rolling Road day for early June.

We'd like to know how many people would be interested so we can get an idea of numbers and if it will be viable or not.

It'll take place as close to the beginning of the month as possible on a Saturday or Sunday, most likely at Surrey Rolling Road in Chobham [5 minutes from the M3 and M25].

The site is pretty good as not only does it have plenty of parking [with the unit inside a secure MOD site so it's safe] it's only 10 minutes from my house

AS FROG WILL SAY BELOW [I can see into the future ]:

This is a 2wd AND 4wd rolling Road, rated up to 600 bhp per wotsit [I don't understand any of that, look at the link above]

Cost is likely to be £35 per run.

Please give us an idea if you're up for this so we can book a day

[We're pretty confident we can get a magazine to cover the day as well]

Paddy

at the risk of giving me age away, was there early to mid 80's, 82-84 i think i wasn't one to follow discipline and rules so done two years there and then returned to the streets of south west london, probably the first big mistake in my life, suffice to say you wouldn't have thrashed us if i was playing

ive been there before, its a good little place.

they are a bit tight on security there though, only allowed 2 cars in at one time.

i went there after they had just moved into the new premises and they have cool plans for it all, will be a nice place.

I will bring my turbo along if its in early June but i will be going to Power Engineering for a rolling road tuning session first

They're allowed 4 cars at a time now

[for those that haven't been there, it's about 100 yards from the car park to where the unit it and takes literally seconds to get there ]

We worked it out that from an organisational point of view, it makes life much much easier.

You've got one car on the rollers and 3 waiting right outside, after the run, they drive out - next one in -and take the next owner and come back into the queue

Also, all the roads for a few miles around are National Speed limit single lane winding roads with some nice straights

Flower - I don't think the rollers care what car you have and seeing as you're part of Berkshire Group anyway you retard, of course you can

Nick - Would be good to see the estate on there though
