Default AA advice. Does "Relay" work at home?

Right, i have a car that possibly wont start, or even if it does, it wont stay running for long, maybe drive about, 1/4 of a mile.

Thing is, the garage it needs to go to for repairs is approx 50miles away.

I know that the "relay" service counts when you at least 1/4mile away, but does it count from home when you have "home start"?????

Anyone know? As i dont

Basically its Option 300 that I have...

Get someone to tow you a few miles down the road

I'm sure they'll take you there, I got my car taken that way to Grove Garage before, I was a few miles down the road from my house when it started playing up.

Cheers,

Andy

If you have Anything over 'Option 200' They should be able to take you anywhere of your choice. I.E Garage/Home/Work.

All depends on what level of cover you have my boy

You need to get it down the road somehow and say you were going to Mr X's in Where-ever

I got Option300.

Thats my point though, i KNOW if i get 1/4mile down the road they will take me anywhere, i magically smashed a piston and 4 valves on the Cossie about a mile from home and got me taken 250miles to Bluesprint once.

But if I can get taken from home (bearing in mind ive got home start and relay), id rather do that and be nice n warm at home than "break down" a little way away and have to wait for the bloody AA to arrive for an hour.

Hence why i need to know!

Homestart won't get the motor where you want - they'll only have take it somewhere local, assuming they can't sort it there and then. Get towed 1/4-1/2 mile from home and instigate the relay option

Trust me..... lol
