Default Turbo coolers for S1

Anyone know of where to get a turbo cooler for a series 1 from?

Is it needed? I know the s1's had air cooled turbo's as standard. I'm want ing to run 20 psi ish through a 2.1zvh.

Any help appreciated.

Dave.

20psi through a 2.1 ZVH will be a handfull . You will need a much larger capacity front mount to let you get away with that. GRS intercoolers come very highly recomended but you may need to do some trimming of metalwork to get it in there

I don't run one and I'm at 25psi and use my car on track. The only extra I really want is an alloy rad as after 3 laps at full chat the water temps get very high

Isn't your motor a s2? If so hasnt your turbo got a water feed from your rad? the s1's didnt have this as they where air cooled.

The S1 is indeed not water cooled but they had a slightly larger oilway to help facilitate cooling. If you're planning on running 20psi I'm assuming you have a hybrid? Providing you do and you have th eright one it will be fine

If you buy a hybrid S1 turbo then no it won't need water cooling. If you haven't got the turbo yet you will be best off discussing what you want with th eturbo supplier and tell them what you want and see what advise they can offer
