A bundle of pipe cleaners used carefully, a tampon ?

I guess 'it does what it says on the tin' won't help your mood much? It tends to flake off, so you may be able to get it up and running until you get new leads?

soak them in petrol for a bit? may remove the oil, but may soften the rubber paint thinners or brake cleaner could wash the oil out and them evaporate harmlessly away?
