The kit fitted on rouse cars is there for a reason not just a tacky body kit.

Better than the shocky bananna ford sideskirts at least they stay fitted to the car

The larger rouse side skirts improve air flow the push the air around the larger rear tyres.

Larger boot spoiler also gives more downforce

If he has a more aerodynamic car, a higher top speed with the same power and if he has more downforce, quicker acceleration, better handling etc due to more grip. What a daft question...


Rod, personally I think you should colour code it. But the black doesnt look out of place how it is.

as im pretty sure the kit aint that great a aero pakage,,,,,,,, well i noticed that the only other company to use them side skirts are,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, fibresports and they was bolted to ANYTHING they could as a "1 kit fits all mod"

The Rouse Spitter was fitted & the Front lowered, because at 210 the Front was getting light & this spitter stops air getting under the car ( so we are informed) at high Speed.

I think the main thing they are going on about is (and any boffins correct me on this one) having the front splitter on the front stops so much air getting in under the car. I know less air under the car is good.... but not sure why. As for side skirts, not a clue. And rear spoiler probably wont do much anyway.... but then again the Veryon nearly took off at 230mph when they reduced the size of the wing mirrors to try and make it go faster, so at 200 I really think ANYTHING to improve the brick like shape of the sapphire is better than nothing.

And Rod, keep it black

 

Look at the pics ginge the extra lip on the side skirt pushs the air flow around the rear wheels normal side skirts will cause more drag

The 225/50 15 tractor tyres that came as standerd stuck out a mile that was the reason for the bigger kit
