I dont think so, you get some old school nights up here but nothing going back to the raves, however there was a "back to the future" thing a wee while back with old rave dj's, didnt go though.

No chance, it was a fad that died out I'm afraid. Plenty wannabe scenes, but none match up

Nothing like it used to be IMO.

Died a bit of a death with the introduction of UK garage - when "popular" crossover tunes became more about the style than the music.

It died when it became too big and the progressed into a club scene which it never intended and never fitted into

Me and a few of my mates are into our circa 90's hardcore and although we're only in our early 20's we were saying how much we'd love to go back to the late eighties/early nineties...

Going to car events/meets/cruises that were word of mouth - not organised on the internet and by text message, where RS Turbo's and Cossies were king etc.

And more importantly - getting into the real underground hardcore rave scene...

Days i so wish i could experience but will never get the chance

A freind of mine is a dj (dj trixy), he has his own rave nights twice a month, under 18's and over 18's. i live in the north east and there is still plenty of raves on around here, saying that, one of the biggest round here got raided by 150 police in the early hours of sunday morning, 25 arrests and the clubs been closed for 3 months, so as you can see the rave culture is still going strong lol. my mates website is, http://www.squarerecordings.co.uk/, its got a photo gallery from some of his nights, so you can see there still blowing whistles and waving glow sticks lol.

The atmosphere is gone though, the closest ive been to the old rave vibe is when they used to use teviot house during the edinburgh festival for house nights, same deal 8 till 5 i think and it was the proper everyones your best mate behaviour. really good. but after 3 years the university didnt want associated with all the drugs.

But like your saying guys the big big scene as we knew it is long gone, ripped to shreds by media, shit attitudes, bad drugs (criminal justice act anybody, police may stop and apprehend large groups without reason) and fizzled out to after the happy hardcore stage (fuckin hated bonkers a dog shitting on a quality period)
