did you change the retaining cap at the top at the same time ?

has been a few years since i last had to fit double valve springs, and cant remember if i fitted differant valve retaining caps ?

I'm 99% sure you can use the standard cap Mark

 

yeh i was thinking so as well spadge, just couldnt remember looking at the caps where the inner spring would go is a tapered edge hmmmmmmmmm wondering before i go and spend Ł100 on caps

 

the head has to be machined to fit the isky doulbe springs

 

i know that bit , but i wont use isky springs for various reasons, and there are other alternatives that dont need the platforms to be machined.

i changed the caps as advised by the spring manufacturer. last thing you need is the inner spring binding the outer springs coils.
