I may be changing my mind on the zetec turbo build, due to cost really.. So the alternative is to stick with the cvh and go for around 200bhp instead...

What will I need to hit the golden figure

Large intercooler
Hybrid
Injectors( do cossie ones fit?)
Do I need any head work ?
Also how strong really is the bottom end of the 1.6 without work?
What else?

A large intercooler, and a chip is all that is needed for 200hp. I'd put a stage 2 turbo on for reliability, and a cam for around 215hp.

 

As above mate but add an uprated fuel pump also

Maybe a port and polish on top of the list above
and you should see 220bhp.

You can go further just depends on your budget mate.
