When the car is raised, engine running and in gear, only 3 wheels are turning properly the offside front is very intermittent and periodiccally stops. Its not the disc binding by the brakes, how do I tell whether its the driveshaft or front differential thats the problem.

This is quite normal mate as the Escos in std form runs an open(std) front differential and one wheel will spin up when they are unweighted...

If you were to stop the spinning n/s wheel,the diff would change over to the o/s one immediately.....
