Just service it, the plastic parts wear, and theres a good mod you can do the joint by the gearbox aswell.

Can you replace the plastic with metal washers to 'pack' it so to speak? or a thin washer either side of the plastic?

I dunno I assumed their was some sort of plastic sleeves going over bolts that would wear either side that could be tightened up with washers? i remember someone mentioning you could replace them with washers but never looked at one myself to see what was meant

Ah ok. On the front of the linkage where the swivel joints are they have plastic flanged washers, theres a good mod you can do replacing them with 6x8 ball bearings, and 6mm steel rod. I think the plastic parts in the box the stick is in wear aswell though.

Jano jumped into a conversation and said using Puma internals is the same as a short shift but then wouldn't tell me what to change and advised me to get a puma linkage and compare the two helpful as always
