bigger brakes question

Default bigger brakes question

will i need a bigger master cylender coz i have fitted 300mm front brakes and sierra rear disc's to my mk4 escort??
all the mk4's i have seen with big brakes look like they have standard masters

Nope...standard master cylinder will be fine [Well it is on mine with 4 pots on the front and cossie calipers on the back]

wot 4 pots have you got mate on the front i'm gettin some 2wd cossie 4 pots on the way and i'm woundering what i need to do to get them on please?

Depends what your car was originally, and what size the master currently is....

Mine are Brembo's...I didn't see your sig when I posted. You may actually need to upgrade the master cylinder to the RST one!

I run 300MM ST' front's and cossie rear's on my S2, no probs, standard MC.

Edit, hit the wrong key Master Cylinder.

Pretty straight forward afaik! But then I didn't fit them myself, got them fitted when Gadget removed my ABS at the same time

All the cars bar the Series 2 share the same Master Cylinder, it will run them, not very well though......

I've heard that aswell but yet to see it...........i'm 99.9% sure the series 2's were the only cars that had 25's because they have the biggest brakes in the range.

Mk 1 early Orions ( 2 take offs not 4)

If your leaving the servo on you wont notice much difference as that takes up half the work for you
