Default GUTTED Headgasket Gone

Well its happened, the cossie 4i blow the Headgasket this morning

Don't think i have done too bad as its the first one in 9 years

It has only just gone, just a slight bit of mayo on the dipstick and in the header tank.

Will strip it on Monday and see, hope for a skim and put it back together.

Steve.

Sounds good mate, get it done, don't bother repairing this one, sell it off for funds!

your not the only one mate...mines gone too.........i noticed a strong smell of exhaust fumes in the header tank the other day and a bit of brown foam on top of the water but no water in the oil at all. Its not over heating or loosing loads of water so i think its on its 1st stages of going but it got worse after giving it a shit load of abuse at my local meet ....oh well, shit happens.......at least it will give me a chance to look for my oil leak

steve, its a good excuse to swap the engines over

i do agree with u and mark, the white one is the better looking car, so it deserves the proper engine

plus the 24v makes for a betetr daily driver IMHO

Would of changed it all if the engine had died, but its just the headgasket.
