ive only ever been in one, it wasnt standard but wasnt that quick, and the engine went pop due to oil starvation.
the only person i know whose got one has just fooked the 2nd gearbox and is still having other problems....
....my sugestion is dont go near them! thats just my opinion/experience of them though!

very quick car, with very little tunning needed
never under estimate one
i really wasnt impressed by the one i went it
it must have been proper fucked because it had an FMIC, filter, zorst and the bloke claimed it was running a little bit more boost than std....

We've got one.
1 bar boost, and it's been reliable as anything. Easily as quick as a stage 3 cossie through the gears (I know cos I've had them side by side on more than 10 ocassions), quicker off the line, and handle quite nicely.
Don't launch em too hard, and they'll be fine. Nothing's gone wrong with ours in 4 years.

when marty had his we were on route to crail and have a couple of side by side "races" on film and its dead level. that was my old cossie with greens and standard ic and turbo.
it ran a 12sec 1/4 too
stick up pics of your dads. looks ace in red
xr stu thay are very fast mate, you must have been in one with mabey a crap actuater? i run around 180/190 in my s2 and was behind one , we both had to slow right down for a car then we both booted it and fook me iv raced standard scoobs and beat them and lots of other stuff but it was very very quick
iv got a stage 1 hybrid and a new -34 so when mine kicks the 17 psi it ant slow but the pulsar left me for dead mate

Yep i'd definitely say all the experience i've had of them is that they are very quick fun little cars. Ugly mind though. Gearbox does tend to be a weak link but no worse than a 4x4 cossie on IMO. Can be made very quick for not a lot of outlay! Handling can be a bit tricky on the linit though!!! Buy one.
at all so stuck with it and fixed the small problems with it, ended up doing a full resto inside ,underneath etc dont want to get it dirty.
best gtir ive ever seen stew...jamz my gtir has got no rust anywere on it just sold it on ebay for £1000 buy it now as the engine needs work again the lad is picking it up next week but i don't think he going to use the shell he just wants the rebuilt turbo, box, diff, transferbox you prob get it cheap it only done 67,000 miles
There is something about these little cars!
Don't get the ugly thing either, granted 90% look shite but they are normally either standard (up in the air on 14's) or wearing boy racer cheapo heavy wheels etc..
A decent one sitting just right on a decent set of Jap rims looks hard as IMO
I'm actually trying to buy another at the moment but it's getting hard to find a decent one really.
