gear boxes are supposed to be prone to self distructing due to the power put on them

....my sugestion is dont go near them! thats just my opinion/experience of them though!

12 second quarter is easy in a pulsar with only a few tweaks.

Sadly breaking the gearbox is even easier

We've got one.

1 bar boost, and it's been reliable as anything. Easily as quick as a stage 3 cossie through the gears (I know cos I've had them side by side on more than 10 ocassions), quicker off the line, and handle quite nicely.

Don't launch em too hard, and they'll be fine. Nothing's gone wrong with ours in 4 years.

i can agree with that

when marty had his we were on route to crail and have a couple of side by side "races" on film and its dead level. that was my old cossie with greens and standard ic and turbo.

it ran a 12sec 1/4 too

stick up pics of your dads. looks ace in red

xr stu thay are very fast mate, you must have been in one with mabey a crap actuater? i run around 180/190 in my s2 and was behind one , we both had to slow right down for a car then we both booted it and fook me iv raced standard scoobs and beat them and lots of other stuff but it was very very quick iv got a stage 1 hybrid and a new -34 so when mine kicks the 17 psi it ant slow but the pulsar left me for dead mate
but as said i cudent own one cus ther ugly mate nearly as ugly as a scoob

Yep i'd definitely say all the experience i've had of them is that they are very quick fun little cars. Ugly mind though. Gearbox does tend to be a weak link but no worse than a 4x4 cossie on IMO. Can be made very quick for not a lot of outlay! Handling can be a bit tricky on the linit though!!! Buy one.

There is something about these little cars!

Don't get the ugly thing either, granted 90% look shite but they are normally either standard (up in the air on 14's) or wearing boy racer cheapo heavy wheels etc..

A decent one sitting just right on a decent set of Jap rims looks hard as IMO

I'm actually trying to buy another at the moment but it's getting hard to find a decent one really.
