Rapid Ford is in the process of having 5th gear remade to make rebuilding the T5 2wd Cosworth box a little easier.

yup the company that I'm using does short run work for cosworth. they will be cut as the original.

if you've got a rumbling box rebuild it instead of buying a secondhand one.

just the single 5th drive gear (the one that is bastard tight on the splines and a sod to get a puller behind so you chip the ends off the teeth), or the driven as well to make a matched pair?

Sorry to post hijack, I have one matching set of "selected used" fifth gears going for £160 + del if anyone is interested?

 

I've spoken to the company and they have told me that the 5th Gear is a ground cut gear and the drive gear is an industrial shite one, so I will probably be producing both - maybe along with a few other gears as well

Should have a price within a few days...
