Default which oil filter?

Have tried this post in techie section but no responses so far, so thought I'd try here. I have fitted a mocal oil cooler which has a sandwhich plate that goes onto the standard filter plate for oil feed to the cooler. Problem is the standard EFL 298 does not fit as it fouls the engine mount now. Anyone had the same problem/knows the answer? please help as I have hardly driven her this year and would like it running for the weekend.
Thanks

Jodi

You have 2 options:

Remove the original water modine (the thing with 2 water pipes going into it) and put the sandwhich plate in it's place. You will also have to rework the water pipes so basically the hose that comes out of the head near the dipstick goes straight into the heater matrix on the exhaust side bulkhead.

or

use a remote oil filter.

The 1st is the easiest option
