You really sure that's a good idea? I'm not joking, they can be seriously dangerous in the wet.

Gary had some on his Evo. Very good tyres. Unfortunately though, if you attempt to go round a corner that has ANY amount of standing water, you will be doing some off-roading.

I hate to imagine an emergency stop in the wet!!

Shings told me they were dangerous in the wet - but will have to post a picture of my polished MO's after they have been out in the rain.
The collars where the studs sit rust immediately, so the plan is to put my won't wear out road tyres on some cheap alloys and keep my MO's for best and thrashing

Get them laquered. Your fighting a losing battle without - even in storage they start to get a white powder on them.

No lacquar the wheels were fine all thru winter in the garage and sitting on a Southampton dock with spray from the sea all over them for 3 days. Just the collars, which must be made of a different metal rust orange rust, but clean off easy by hand or with a dremel

Will keep me out of trouble on spring/summer light nights with a beer in the garden

Think it will be funny as with a cheap set of alloys on am looking for the nastiest set.. suggestions

the wheels are alloy, the collars need to be harder so are made of steel - which obv rusts. If it's only a small area, brush some clear laquer on. I know u like cleaning, but with time it will start to pit - and then ur screwed. U can always take laquer off if u really want an are back to square one. And get some diamond cut std rims!

I was thinking of that actually, brushing a bit of laquar on - but the nuts have sharp edges - will see if they contact the faces of the collars
The best remedy so far has been clean them, and put my favourite Vaseline on them. Looks a mess when it's on, but take it off on good days and all is well

Can't have std rims on now with the stud conversion, without a bit of work. Would like another set of comps perhaps, the guy who i got these from had a barn full of them and these were cheap. See if he has some cheap and nasties when i have some money
