Default westy cosworth's 2nd rebuild on the way!

Due to being a total tit and loosing the back end on a damp road whilst trying to get past a pokey seat Ibiza my westy now needs another new chassis 4 months after it had its 2nd new one when I brought it as a smacked up car and rebuilt it!
Bent the chassis in 3 places after getting thrown into a wall sideways at 60mph!
Bollocks

did look nice!
but know looks like this
oh well time to get some more power out of the engine whilsed its out, 400bhp here we come

<img src=http://img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/darren.cudd/rs1.jpg>
<img src=http://img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/darren.cudd/rs2.jpg>
<img src=http://img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/darren.cudd/rs3.jpg>
i think the seat came of worse though

yea cheers lads, proper mans car but mayby some girly extras such as traction controll might have been nice cause 350bhp in a car that weighs 700kg is just a tad on the stupid side
na who am i kiddin, bring on the nitrous!!!

Yea a few bumps and bruises and my wrist is still shagged from where the steering wheel came back around at warp 9 but other than that it was quite lucky!
bit of a bummer though as I wasn’t even driving that fast!
There was a section of uphill straight and I pulled out to overtake, they were probably doing 50 and by the time I got level with them I was doing about 60-70, problem arised though when I did get level cause that’s when the turbo came on boost in 3rd and cause that section of road was greasy (I didn’t know that at the time) the backend just shot out to the right.
I made the correction but because I was beside them there just wasn’t room and my front nearside lightly tapped them in the rear quarter! Put them into a 360 and then the hedge and I got span across the road and into a stonewall!

Think I did my wrist even more damage trying to get the bonnet up on there car though so that I could put the fire out as they were just going to let the thing burn!
Think the woman was a bit mad as well though cause when they crashed she threw there dog out the window in the panic and it took them 3 days to find it again.
I would feel sorry for them but cause she’s trying to sue me for everything under the sun I think she can go to hell!

The car is never going out again unless it is hot and sunny!

hey.. horsepower bites back hard mate.....

And 496bhp per ton must bite like a great white!!

As long as no-one died or became disabled, then it could always have been worse (As well as better i guess!)

Best of luck with the claim, recovery and rebuild

yea it certanly bites!
stupid thing is though im rebuilding it to hopefully give 400bhp, if i can get that figure it will give 570bhp per ton
thats exactly the same as a mclaren f1!

and yes i know, i would rather have the mclaren as well

thought i would just put these up as well so you can see just how bent it was after the crash!

<img src=http://img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/darren.cudd/west3s.jpg>
<img src=http://img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/darren.cudd/west4.jpg>
You can see from the one above what a smack it took from the wall by the way its bent the top rail!
Hey its good fun this rebuild malarkey, first time I striped this car took me 18hours, now I know the car a little better it only took me 13hours from complete car to bits on the shelf! I should have hit the wall a bit harder and saved my self some time by disassembling it a bit more first

Thanks russell, just waiting for mummy and daddy to give me some more money so I can get my carbon fibre body shell and Ł50k engine!

(And already ended it, all I wanted was an apology but I guess jealous people don’t apologise! )

p.s, you can have my keys if you want to put the car back together for me?

did the car originally belong to someone who now drives a scooby after he crashed it? thought i read that somewhere once
if so is it because he shit himself? i know i would. must give a good buzz though.
nice to see it hasn't put you off.

no mate, but the guy who i brought it off also has a gsxr with a turbo on it and he said the car would scare him more than the bike.

you know what they say, "its healthy to scare yourself once a day" lets just say the car keeps me very healthy!

hi mate,
car runs 215x40x16's on the rear

traction is pretty good really.
if you launch it hard it will spin in 1st and 2nd and you just get a light weaving on the rear in 3rd but it tends not to spin in 3rd unless the road is damp which i found the hard way.

Good luck with the rebuild Darren

I'm also building a Westfield with a 400+bhp Zetec turbo engine in the thing.

Took it for its first outing at the weekend and I was definately touching cloth.
