Default rusty arches

im sortin a few of the rust patches and makin sure everything is well sealed b4 my s2 makes its return!

anyways i took the body kit off and the edges of the arches are rusty,what the best way to get this sorted b4 the rust spreads,oh yeah its the rear arches!

the rest of the bodywork is straight 4ward!thank fuck its the only thing that is!

Rear arches probably most common on s2's

will need cutting out and welding mate. Have you properly checked battery tray and fusebox, these ALWAYS go aswell.

fuse box is a bit grotty but batterey tray is sound!dya mean the rust needs cutting away or more of the arch?any1 go any pics? is it that much of a problem?

gets pics up matey to show how bad it has set in, if it has got in between the skins then new arches are needed.

back of petrol filler pipe is a rust collector, mine was a nightmare,had to cut out and fashion my own with sheet metal ,then weld it in(fuel tank off of course),make sure you sort the fuse box,as the water collects in the footwell,another prime unseen sight is the muck plate on the two front footwells,(lower metalwork behind the liner),by your front jacking points,and while your under your car,check the rear rails too,your rear roll bar tie shackles,and the front roll bar mounting plates too.

all latter ones are mot failure points.
