I had a quote for one when i was 18 (22 now) with a years no claims and i got quoted £1500, and it was compolsury to have a category 1 alarm on it, although that was with Tesco and if you dont provide the certificate your just not covered for theft, most companies would cancel your policy. Shop around is the best way, Virgin seems very cheap aswell.

I bought mine when I was 19 and got insured for £1195 from Adrian Flux and the best thing is I've got unlimited mods and the price doesn't rise much. Now runnnin a full stage 3 engine with all the other usuals!

Seriously though, we don't quote many young drivers or these type of cars, not our market, on my "runaround" cars ive not paid a penny in years!
But this quote was found online via www.confused.com , just gotta know where to look I guess!
